Beyond Barriers is a rail industry employee network for everyone personally and professionally invested in improving social mobility in rail. And unique to most employee networks, this will be across organisations.
Our goal is to make the railway a welcoming and fair place for everyone, no matter their background. We want to help people progress in their careers and remove the barriers that can hold them back. We aim to support employees from less advantaged socio-economic backgrounds, provide a safe space for growth and self-expression, and give people a voice to create real change.
Beyond Barriers is open to anyone from a less advantaged socio-economic background, those who have successfully moved up in their careers, and anyone who wants to be an ally and support this cause. We also work alongside other diversity and inclusion groups in the rail industry to create a fairer future for all.
